Balham is the location of Jacksons Estate Agents first office. We opened our first branch on Balham High Road on 1st August 1995. You will therefore have to forgive us if we spend the entirety of this guide waxing poetically about our love for Balham, as Balham will always be the place where Jacksons started and therefore we hold it close to our hearts.
Balham’s main benefit and attraction for home buyers has always been its transport links. To be able to boast a mainline station and an underground station is something that not many areas of London can claim. Having the two stations means that Balham attracts two different sorts of commuters, thus doubling its appeal. If you combine this with the fact that Balham has beautiful housing, a fantastic high road, two supermarkets, an abundance of good schools, and access to three separate commons, you could argue that Balham is one of the best places to live in South West London.
As mentioned previously, Jacksons Estate Agents may very well be quite biased, so we urge anyone who is looking to move to South West London to come and check these things out for themselves, we promise you wont be disappointed, in fact you may very well be encouraged to make your stay a permanent one.
Balham benefits from lots of local restaurants, larger businesses such as Sainsburys and Waitrose, small boutiques and the usual take away and fast food chains. It has many local schools including, Henry Cavendish, Holy Ghost, Ravenstone school, and Alderbrook primary school.
