High levels of demand continue

‘We saw an increase in the level of single professional tenants and couples move out of house shares over the summer, says Faye Townsend-Smith at Jacksons. Upsizing is a much more feasible option for tenants than it was this time last year and is an attractive option for many. We are renting a range of properties, from studios to six bedroom houses.

We have seen south London continue to bring in international tenants who are relocating with work and August and September were hugely popular for tenants moving in,’ continues Nick Hignell at Jacksons. Demand now seems to outstrip the supply of properties readily available to move into and we can already see signs of this busy lettings market continuing into the autumn.

The Streatham sales market is busy with many families relocating to south London looking for large houses within the area, states James King at Jacksons. It’s not just individual buyers who are out in force - investors from across the globe are looking to increase their portfolios and Streatham is high on their list.

If you would like an update on the local market, or if you are considering selling or letting, please contact your local Jacksons office where our team will be happy to help.
