Instruction numbers are at the highest they have been this year, and we are currently taking on more instructions than we were in the early part of 2020 as sellers look to take advantage of the busy summer market. As a direct result of the welcomed stamp duty announcement, we’ve seen an increase in buyer registrations. The summer market is our busiest time of year and we have to factor in the pent up demand from landlords and tenants as lockdown restrictions are eased, we are extremely busy,’ says Paul Rooney at Jacksons. ‘With a high number of properties coming onto the market, there is an equally high number of applicants registering so tenants should be prepared to act fast so as not to miss out. We are advising landlords to market their properties at the right price and ensure they are well presented as these are the properties that are being snapped up the quickest. For instance, we are definitely letting more family homes as tenants choose to upsize to accommodate the recent need to be able to work from home and home school.
